"Then had lunch at Stroganov's home and met his wife. She does not look like a Russian. Her folks originally came from Holland and settled in Russia 200 years ago. After lunch took one in his car to the San Xavier mission, nine miles out of Tucson. The out scenery about Tucson is striking, and all of the lower land is a cactus covered Holson plain. The out is the main one of lava flows, breccias and ash tuffs rather than Miocene case than older. There is also an Archeozoic granite, another of Post Carboniferous age that has metum all round the earth, and a third one of primary late Cretaceous age. formations, but the older granites are schists (Pinal). The Pinal schist is the basement of Arizona and is of the same general age as the Vishnu of the Grand Canyon. It is curly granites and divides."
