Close of the rain - two Below leader fog onward into a dark blue that crept into purple, then red into yellow that faded into the blue by my head. To the Southwest the light behind the sun over a hill was silvery color. The reds came until way all over dark. Tucson, Arizona, Jan 13 - Sunday. Got here at 6:15 A.M. before sunrise. Ploja was over at the station to meet me. He took to the Old Pueblo Club where I have taken a room. As we could not get break- fast later until 8, A.M. we went to the Santa Rita Hotel and had a good breakfast. This is the best hotel in the town, and as I can get a room for 50 dollars per month may con- clude to stay here. Then walked out to the University of Arizona about 1/2 miles from the station. It is a good looking small knut, well adorned with native or introduced sub tropical plants. All irrigated.
