with D. nudiflorum DC. 7-17-38 Corallorhiza maculata Ref. G317; BvBI 575 Fl just E Stumpisline, S of boundary towards Gypsum corner. D 11½ in tall, horizontal, pale-dull purplish-tan. 2 breathing scales, uppermost reaching to middle D at. Raceme 4 in, 24-fl. Fls 1.5-2 cm overall, judicial, about 2 mm is pedicel. Flabrs ovary 6-8 mm long. Sepals yellowish-brownish; petals the same but lighter, ventrally spotted to mar- gin. Lip white, conspicuously purple-dotted. Middle lobe “rather square” (G), tip rather purplish & crisped “two narrow longitudinal lamellae near mid- dle” (G) (N.B. all BvB for C. trifida better for our plant than ill for C. m- which it is very run likes). Lateral lobes small, v tooth-like but perfect- ly distinct to eye. “Column yellowish & magenta spotted on inner surface” (G). (See 6-19-30 for desc. ? C. trifida differing from this). Our plant very like W.F. ? N.Y p 73 but this not conclusive evidence. [7-26-38 Fl. Came way SE near bendabor Queens relative. 7-17-38 Gerardia virginica BSP. G730 = Dasyctoma — Britton BvBIII208 Fl along south boundary v very frequent in old woods roads in Burton Pierce creek.
