Rh side bet. 2 sides. Short, tall (42 in) looking like a cultivated grass. St. bfy with sheaths greatly overlapping. Blades 1 cm wide. Sheaths close to stipule shot with long, claw-like cleeping auricles. Ring hairs at top of sheath conspicuous 1st glume 3-nerved, 2nd glume 5-nerved. Leaves all pubescent: seems surely to be Bromus altissimus Pabde G164 which BVBI 876 inc. in B. papyrus L. Qh with B. papyrus of Kilnwood (which differs in being much
