Note: Bracts of spathe much more nearly the same length than in S.a-, the outer bract not overtopping the flo (in S.a- it does). Pedicels (now) all 2-3 mm long is the inner bract. St. 4-5mm wide [See 7-29-38 7-13-38 Populus balsamifera L. G 339; BvBI 588; Mough. 104 No.fl or fs. Roadside near stumps north bline. Several specimens of young growth, perhaps 6 ft high, per- haps from old stumps but not sure. has very distinctive characteristic, exactly like dense very dif from the other 3 Ps of Kilnwood.
