Road-side opp. Twin Doors or Kilnwood low to 3.5 x 1.5 cm all petioled (pet. short but distinct) lower subtending flo are ± cuneate narrowed at base, the others rounded or very obtuse. Stems simple, 9 in high. R.B.K still [see NHJ] puzzled as to def. bet M.a - x M. canadensis but cannot think this is M. canadensis. Calyx 13-nerved (SutH p 574 say M.a- 10-nerved).
