5-6-39 Muriella maritima Wats J 222; M 88 FLV unripe fr Soledad (at forks bet. Murilands & Summit) One spec only found. N.OBS. One fl open when collected. leaves 3 in all. Fls 6. Anthers (withering) 1mm long, dull grayish-purple-ish-greenish. Consider prob this being some spec of M. acotina; but no gland-like parts "pit-like glands" found.) 5-6-39 Navaretia atractyloides HVA var hamata Spec J 791 = Gilia hamata Munz M 400. FL vodo. fr with above (common). 1-2 in high, spine-like lips & hrs conspicuously disarticulate (J) & terminal one often strongly deflexed but not "sometimes hooked" (M), Filaments unequal (3 longer) & these inserted at point higher than the other 2. (See M p 388 contra) at least in those fl. studied. upper part of plant glandular & with "slummy- oror" even without being crushed. 5-6-39 Stipa pulchra Hitchc J 126; M 39 FL frs. With obs fr with S. lepidula & 5-1-39. 5-6-39 [See Hypocheris glabra L] & 5-14-39] Composites. Detailed achenes only seen on ground collected. Soledad at forks bet. Murilands & Summit. R.B.K. thought this fr of plant previously seen in this vicinity
