Pappus bristles (?) plume or less than upper half, “short-setulose on each side” at base (T) is bit less than disc in (M). Perhaps officio var. pentaachaeta Hall in spite of glandu- lipped hairs on nt. v much lo as on specimen. Fls fragrant. [8-4-39 Ms G. app now in H. near San Diego.
