Specimen has had branches of old infl. & some new growth with a few fl. heads. [8-4-39 Fl. from Mr. Gauley, Nat. Hist Museum, who identifies as togelorus. 3-23-39 Lamarchia aurea Moench J 96; M 53 Fl. various places along road. 3-23-39 Polypogon monspeliensis Desf J 119; M 42; G 1 33 Fl. PdB. near Salix. Awns 6mm. Panicle now this dense is open enough to look lobed, perhaps interrupted (Certain- ly not as spike-like as ill(G). Perhaps in later stage will look more spike-like) All fl (J) good. [6-11-39 LaTolle water front Fl. 3-23-39 Muhlenbergia microsterna Kunth J 131; M 40 Fl. Annual so no scaly rhizomes. Locus not remembered Polea green purple like lemma. 3-23-39 Bromus rubens L. J 78; M 59 Fl. locus not remem- bred. [5-16-39 Poway Grade v Commonly seen at LTolle where 3-23-39 Avena barbata Desv J 110; M 46, where Salix. Lemma awns fully 4mm.
