Hairs on st. &ro., pedicels & calyx branches (not stellate) Upper part of St. fraccme almost glab- rous. Basal his & lower part of plant not col. St.-br exactly as ill Fig 102 i.e. A. maxima Greene (M 205), 2cm. Calyx 3.5 mm long. Petals narrow, purple, 5mm long. Best guess is A. perennans Wats J431; M 304 (but consider prof. A. Holboelii Harman vs arcuata Jeppe J 430 = A. maxima Greene M 205 v obtuso) 2-25-39 Juniperus Californiae Carr. T 59; M 19; McM 116 Junipe fs.
