(Especially seen commonly around L.T.) 6-17-39 Sida hederacea Torr T 631; M 310 Flat edge of Rd, near above. Seed plainly pendulous. 6-17-39 Anemopsis californica Hook. T 286; M 102 FR in various stages, Sorrento Rd, stretch along R.P. St. partly with obscurely septate but not "ludlow" (T) nor "nodose" (M) hairs in axil & clasping st-lf, hair petioles v lower edges ciliate. 6-17-39 ? Rumex salicifolius Weinm. T 392; M 130 Fz. Sorrento Rd in hills, northern part. (Cfl with R. crispus L, found very near by.) Species questioned because no callus grains, thomid rib sometimes considerably thickened. (Poss. was more vigorous) Tepa discarded because panicle not at all compact valt. far too low acc. to Tepas.) This abnormality might be result of growing in place certainly not esp. "vet." Also lvs are not perfectly foliate (except in comparison with the curly edged R. crispus) Lvs narrow & willow-like, often
