Corollas 12mm long, cream c la with tube tinged purplish outside. Young sts. dark purple. 6-17-39 Antirrhinum Coulterianum Beetle J 899; M 462 FL v muipe f2. Near above. (As f lobov bluish cast ppro. forma Orcuttianum Munz M 462). Infl much more dense than ill (J) suggests; more like ill (M) and after fl-ing the one-sided infl still more dense v spicate. Fertile branches well developed? 6-17-39 Selvia apiana Jeps. J 872; M 446 FL. Same stretch fidas above. Connectiv v filament joined in such a neat oblique splice that it is easily overlooked. Ill "b" v "c" (J) exp good. St.-part of infl del. bluish; bracts v calice tinged bluish. Corolla v tip & style also have enough blue to give a pale lavender look to infl. "Ernulate" (M) better describes middle lobe than "fringed"(J) 6-17-39 Frankeinia grandiflora C.v.S. J 640; M 314 FL. Sorrento Rd bet. Highway v R.P. (see 1-20-39).
