5-20-39 except that all lvs entire and all fl about the same oblong shape, none "ovate" as desc will. Stamens (in more cases) ? Style does not seem "split at apex." Petals 4 mm. Calyx lobes 2 mm. 5-20-39 Moutzelia gracilenta T.V.G. J652; M 320 Fl. Palomar Obs (Col by Mr. Corvell.) Corolla 10 mm long, calyx lobes 5 mm long. Stamens many. Filaments slight- ly dilated at base in withering fls; not in buds but R.D.K. would not call them "somewhat united at base" (J) Orules promise seeds as desc (T). Stems light (heavy?) vlole almost glabrous to eye, but their inconspicuous hairs like those on lvs show (20x) the same texture as in M. disperma. Upper lvs (on one out of 2 plants) entire. Bracts subtending fls on both plants broad- ened v-which at base v sharply notched? Other lvs are narrowly oblong with rounded lobes. 5-20-39?. Collinsia Childii Gray Parry J905: C.— Gray M465 Fl v very young fls. Palomar Crestline. Calyx membranous bet veins (i.e. thin & transparent enough to show dissecting needle) but this char. easily overlooked. Ovaries 2 (in oldest fls 2-5 mm+) pimples on back v or cavated ventrally. Corollas almost white 8mm (or poss. more). Calyx, of fl, 5mm.
