5-20-39 Nemophila rotata Eastw. T814; M405 (pres var. integrifolia Munz West M405) FL Palomar Obs. Corolla fully 7mm long. Note: Calyx lobes w/appendages accresent in fr. Measi manual W seem to be fn fl. Anthers delices on side toward corolla. 5-20-39 Platystemon californicus Bentle T397; M199 FL Palomar Obs. Looks very like plants 3-20-39v lates except that los appear almost like basal tufts of peduncles more scape-like. Oldest fbs now show no sign of "fruits nod- ding" (as in var mutans which, acc. to R.B.K.'s memory, showed this clear at early stage. 5-20-39 Phlox gracilis Greene T787: Gilia -- Hook M393 FL v fr. Palomar Obs. Exactly like ill(T) except plant more congested and agrees exactly with desc. (los. simple, lower pp, appx alt.; stamens def megall, inserted v def included) except that R.B.K. cannot see that corolla is "constricted at throat" (tho there is no flare or funnel effect at throat. 5-20-39 Mentzelia dispersa Wets T651; M320 FL Palomar Obs. Family & Genus sure. (In MoLery one looks for this under "seeds lying horizontal" as the seeds certainly (in one gaw) are horizontal but none of these species fits our plant) 3 in height, has every look of annual. Very like ill(T) except
