[?] 5-10-39 Erigeron foliosus Nutt J 1056; M 534 Fl. Poway Grade. Style tips as desc. for E. This identification reached by leaning heavily on L (M) or probability? locus. Very like ill. Fl. heads 2+ cm diam. ligules 1.5 mm wide, numerous. Does arises later whether this could have been a Corethrogyne q.V. 6-14, 7-28 and 8-8-39 5-10-39 Hypochaeris glabra L J 96; M 587 Fl. Poway Grade. Frequent. Ident sure (see ?? ?4-6-39). No hair few scattered (but visible) at diff. bais on edges, v multsib. beneath. [See 5-14-39 5-10-39 Filago californica Nutt J 1062; M 539 Fl. Poway Grade. Exactly as desc. Ill. M (F) good. At one stage after inner achenes has fallen, the outer bracts spread star-like, each wooly bract enclosing achene v covered by the inner, glabrous bract.
