Fifth stamena slender rudimentary filament 1mm long (not gland small, acute "J"). Sts prac- tically naked with the long pedicels holding almost everything. Sepa very sharply tuberculate but out-growths not exp. "wing-like" now. 5-10-39 Thelypodium lasiophyllum Greene J 412 = Carlanthus lasiophyllus Payson M 188 Flv alv. fr. Poway Grade. Very like all J except "L" of All 406 more densely fruited than our spcc. Petals only 3,5-4 mm (not 6mm "M") but as desc. J. "sepals ...scarcely the length of the narrow petals." Sepals 3 mm long. Petals white, lower lvs purple [See 5-25-37 5-10-39 Cryptanthus microtachys Greene M 437; J? Flv fs. Poway Grade. Exactly as desc. Nutlet one. Style less than 1/4 as long as nutlet. Flwnt & C. intermedi flwfs nearby.
