Before leaving the city proper I visited the fish market at 11 A.M. but the number was almost closed at that late hour. Seabass of several species were seen, dory fish, skates, smelts, Spanish mackerel, tuna, flounders, oles, shelly crabs, crayfish, dent fish, squid, pork oysters, clams, shells & shrimps, clean displayed for sale. The National Opera house is one of the fine buildings of the town. Everywhere on street plazas x roads were bronze statues. One near the Opera house
