July 26. Got a good catch of mammals including several shrews and two fine Neurotrichus. Killed a fine Sphyrapicus ruber. in the after July 27. Took another Neurotrichus in a strampty piece of Creek rest of the Landing. Also took several shrews and Tanagers and a few birds July 28. Got a fair catch of mammals. Tried to secure a neotoma from the neck in the rocks near on the promontory. Drove him out but he escaped into the rocks. July 29. Got out early and killed a band tailed pigeon near the Landing. after break fast took up all my traps preparatory to taking the Okan for Vancouver Killed a fine Parem and a Colaptes. Tired up all my specimens and packed up. and took the boat in the afternoon arriving in Vancouver. in the Evening July 30. Wrote reports & packed specimens.
