Lund B.C. 18 July 16. Rained hard all fore noon and got soaked visiting my traps, and did not get much. In the afternoon it cleared and I shot some birds a chipmunk etc. I set some steel traps Saw my adetes transcendi but could not kill any. July 17. Got a small catch only and shot a few birds. Reset a line of traps but found it difficult to find runways or signs. July 18. Got a small catch of Sows Evotmys etc. Saw two old grouse with broods of young about size of quail. Reset many of my traps along a stream in the woods. July 19. Did not catch anything of consequence. Shot a ruffed Grouse, a flicker etc. and reset some of my traps July 20. Got a small catch of mammals and shot a few birds including an immature grouse July 21. Look up all my traps Shot a female blue grouse a chipmunk etc. in the forenoon in the afternoon after doing any shimming I went out some traps in the trail running world.
