Port Moody, Langley 16 in woods south of village and killed 5. July 9. Got a fine catch of small mammals including Microtus Sorix & Neotrichus killed xrx B. trinacraei and a pine squirrel July 10. Took up traps but caught neither of importance. Left Langley at 1 o'clock and arrived at Port Moody about 1 P.M. In the afternoon made up specimens & setth traps July 11. Caught a few sorix and microtus and set a few traps in new places. Heard a grouse looking in some trees in the hill near from but was unable to start him. wrote reports in the evening. July 12. Was out in woods early in hopes of seeing some Chipmunks but saw none. Saw several red breasted sapsuckers in some very tall dead trees in the hill near from but unremarkable to obtain a shot. Took up all my traps and in the afternoon finished up cell my note packed up. Left at 5:15 p.m. Vancouver. July 13. Left Vancouver at 9. A.M. for Kamloops in the steamer "Convoy". The voyage was pleasant and there were many birds in the water
