Post Moody Bde (15) July 3. Caught a number of shrews and white footed mice. Put out some traps in some rank grass nearly opposite the mill where I found signs of microtus etc. Very rainy. Shot quite number of birds. July 4. A fair catch of Dors Microtus etc. Changed many of my traps first set. Rained heavily all day. July 5. Caught a number of Opossum etc. and one Strophurus This was taken in a runway in a marshy place near the mill Very rainy. July 6. Got very poor catch of mammals to shot a few birds Raining weather still continues. July 7. A rather poor catch Decad most of the forenoon Chasing flickers but killed only one. Caught 3 microtus in marshy place near mill. July 8. Left Port Moody in morning Train for Pt. Nancy where I took Goat for Langley arriving at 11 o'clock. Spent the time until dinner Cooking over the country. In the after noon Set traps for shrews Microtus etc. Found Tamias torquatus common
