Mr Vernon Nash June 26. Rather poor success with traps. Killed a number of birds and reset many traps June 27. Fair success with traps Took a number of shrews. Made a trip to Oldenmy Lake about 4 miles N.E. of town and hunted the meadows in hopes of finding Sign of Sympatry but could find no minrays. Saw a pair of Goldeneyed Ducks on the Lake. June 28. A good catch of mammals including 9 porcupine, 1 Alpahyrax and a Necrotrochus. Reset a number of traps June 29. Had a fair catch of mammals. Took up all my traps intending to leave on the morning and Waterports in the evening June 30: Left Mt Vernon in the morning arriving at Port Moody about 5:30 P.M. Rained a good deal during the day and evening July 1. Rained almost continually during the day but got out a few traps in the afternoon July 2. Got nothing of importance in my traps. Put out quite a large number of traps and shot a few birds.
