Salt Lake City [3] Apr 26. Again visited my traps and took them all up Had a good catch. Made up part of my specimens in the evening. Apr 27. Spent the day finishing up my specimens and getting ready to leave. Wrote my report in the evening and took the mid- night train to go to Salt Lake Apr 28. Travelled Apr 29. Travelled Apr 30. Arrived at Salt Lake in the early morning. Spent the forenoon looking up routes with a view to going into the flats. Decided to take the train on the Utah Central and stop at some point about halfway to Park City. In the afternoon went up in the Canon back of Hot Ford Douglas and shot some S. armatus and secured a single specimen of Tamaris coccineus. Found Mr. Young had secured a fine collection of plant species. In the evening made up my specimens and got ready to leave on the morning train.
