PHOTOGRAPHIC REPORT (DAILY Notes.)
BIRDS AT SEA - NOVEMBER 1964
2 Nov. 64
Photographic Motion (16mm) equipment
was set up after leaving Pearl Harbor
in hopes of securing photos of
Saugers. A short period of time was
used in getting equipment situated
on the rails-deck and lenses
affixed in their most convenient
positions on camera.
After settled and in a ready-to-
shoot position we were told to
clear the deck for salt-water
wash down. We cleared! The
wash down occured -not on
the rails-deck but amid-ships
some two hours later.
The equipment was again
set up on the [illegible] level which
limited shooting to ca. a 40° Arc.
Return to the rails-deck was not
made and a few very short
sequences of wildtail shearwaters were
procured. No Saegers were photographed
as they did not fly into my
limited 40° area.
A total of ca. '60 was shot for the day.
