"[illegible]" Landed a few pieces of fragmental tuffs, strike N 6° W & dip 26° E. These form the bulk of the cliff on the west side of the Point. Fossils are found in several bands 8/1/86 W. [illegible] Stenoscisma g pulchra Common Wilsonia p. [illegible] less common Dalmarella rare Herostoma occasional rare Cornulites (large) In one place where for a distance of some ten feet the rocks of B show thick bedded cleavage planes striking N 52° E & dipping 35-5° E. These might easily be mistaken for the dip bedding planes. 8/1/86 is 48 feet thick and is overlain by a 40 foot series of fragmental tuffs which show bedding only in the upper portion; these tuffs form the point and the upper surface strikes N 8° W & dips 27° East. A two foot band of hard indurated shale occurs 5 feet below the top. The upper five feet are massive
