Above the coarsely fragmental massive buff till probably 8 1/8 fragments follow to the east some 8 feet of banded or laminated gray x bluish black sandy shale with a couple of 3 inch bands of small gray fragments.
Three form the south end and 1 the large group of Field PT. and strike N. 11° W. dip 27° East
Above these are exposed at 8 below high tide on the east side of well perfect grave of field PT some 6 thick bedded, rough indurated blue, calcareous shale, bed striking N. 12° W. and dipping 28° East.
About 20 feet of these beds are exposed at the external (75 yd wide) to the west shore of the east group may become separated in turn can softer shales. Fragmental buff are the next rocks to the east.
Fossils are abundant in several seams near the base x lower five feet and include a very rich varied fauna.
