Quadrille Ruled Form. John C. Moore Corporation, Rochester, N. Y. Binder and holes in leaves, each Patented 1906 Aug 5, 1908 1. Thin bedded argile shale, dark blue in color. Strike N 60° W. Dip 26° E. Three feet are exposed in the slungy just below high water mark & it is possible that the core west of the Field Point is eaten out of similar shales as the just outcrop to the west are also in this shale, 175 yds distant (s. l. s. A Aug 4, 1908). The shales on the west side of Field Point show fossils tho these are rather efficient of extraction. The fauna includes Lingula sp rare Orbiculoidea sp rare Chonetes cornuta occasional Leptostrophia sp " Sfenoscisma sp common Palmanella sp rare ? Wilsonia spilsoni rare Paracyclas sp Common Actinopterella sp occasional Norm Orthoceras rare Orthoceras " Hoplithes 2. Overlying s.l.s.B are 15 inches of dense fine grained light gray lunds in a single massive bed. 3. Then overlying are 14 inches of friable dark blue shale similar to s.l.s.B. and holding the same fauna. (Not collected) s.l.s.B³ 4.
