Mr. Gayer and I skinned
a Douglas Squirrel and
Chipmunk, I shot a
Creeper but it only had
a few dozen feathers
so I left it. Never
saw a "scrammer"
Creeper. Red-breasted
Nuthatch, Cabanis Woodpecker,
Tolmie Warbler, and many
Creeper are the common
birds.
Today we went
any/ down the valley
Towards The juncture of
Woods Creek and Bubbs Creek.
The valley opens out into
meadows, Aspen woods,
and Conistus fatery.
Several birds indicative
of lower country showed
up. Green backed Goldfinch-
Shrubbed Towhee.
