We plan to remain
here for several days.
The Sapsucker is at his tree
constantly, I believe he
saps the half of the day
at this dining table. I
tried to make some sap
holes with my knife
both on other trees and
on that of the sapsuckers
but the sap failed to
flow. I then tried
foraging the cambium
like fibre as the bird
evidently does and had
some success, I guess
I am not as proficient
as the bird. I tasted the
sap and it was quite
sweet and syrup-like even
though the tree was a willow
I guess it makes pretty good
feed. In the afternoon
