5pm Today Carl and I went
up Bench mountain
12044 ft high. Near the
start I saw rabbit droppings
several times and within
top of the summit a
Cory appeared. The whole
mountain was large rock,
and I don't see how the
Cory could get enough grass
to live there.
While on the summit
a sharp shinned Hawk
soiled around the shoulder
of the mountain. From
the peak we could see
the Kings River vicinity and
Cartridge Creek Valley. But
