Charles Connor was station
agent at at Centrosopher 1872- 1880
In 1883 was appointed in charge 7
Committee to divide the Monthly
Scales. The Surveying was done by
W.B. J. Charles Connor.
He told me in part the story of
How his father scared the bear
which he encountered late one
night by beating on the drum
which he had used at a dance.
Dr. W. Hodolion told me that the
first road through the Country
was built from Warfboro to
Conway. It went over Tracks
Tree to Ossipee. Then E. J. Green
Put & Crossed Ossipee River
Just below the outlet of the
Lake. Much of this road still where
Duncan Lake was named from
Duncan McNorton, one of the
Early settlers about Ossipee
