Saturday July 23 Stepped about 6.30am left on some wood, at Red Cabin. Reached Wungley at 9.10. The rain was falling heavily. Left Wungley at 11.15. a short distance where Wrigley saw some geese on the bank. Stopped and saw a boat ashore to get some for ford, but got only one secured to ski. White found some muddy gulls. At Big Point stopped for wood taken on pick Cords. Lost another Pappell blade in the army Rained hard all day Passed Nahanai River at 10.40 July 24. Washed for up Pump and laid up at 2 am. Sunburn about 2 miles to find a place to haul out. The day turned out fine but it being Sunday did not work. July 25. Commenced to haul out the boat at 2.30am and worked all day on shrams. and had losing at dawn. Collected some plants and made other observats.
