L. 18 mm. 5th instar July 31, Neotoma [illegible] - Black with an orange substipulatal band which varies in individuals and is hardly noticeable in some in none it very conspicuous. Stipulae contrasting white else entirely black. Hardly separable from [illegible] to which it shows this sp. very closely related. Differs in the absence of any signs of s.d. marks on post. legs and by the absence of any intramural of finer hairs with the dorsal [illegible]. 28 mm. Short taper. post. of Neotoma type.
