172 Sun. Dec. 12 I was awake at about 8am rise and God too and went in my room and breakfast. Later, I put in practically all the ferns going through my specimens and found only one bundle with any such ever in and I dried these cut in the sun. Walked around by the dub but it was very quiet there. I finished up my speci- ments after lunch, wrote up my notes, read a little, played some solitaire and about five walk around and called on the Fours and stayed for a cold Dutch supper and then Mr. played some cut throat bridge at which I won out. Had quite a heavy shower late in the P.M. I walked around by the dub on my way home. but it was practically deserted so I looked over a magazine or two and then home and to bed.
