Fri. Nov.13 I was up early as I could not sleep on account of the cold, I had a session with "Boyfield" in regard to reform in his terms. Keeping arrangements. The Chaplains went down the trail to see about the Chinaman "Sherlock Holmes". No much breakfast and Babay, the holy man; then we went with them up to the Sacrificial Rock where they deposited raw & cooked rice, egg, cheese, lard meat etc and went over their giving of charms and called to the mountain. Toured around camp. Along about 3.30 I took my boy and went down the trail hundreds of Pamburgan to find the Schizer in a "grassy place" i col- lected some along the way and then walked until fire but could not see it. Had some most wonderful views of the Valley below and got back to camp at about 6. I looked after our chicken dinner, our chicken being the only one that survived the trip up, and then to bed.
