Ship Fuecennies Bahia, Sandwich Islands November 2th. 1820- Sir, I have the honor to enclose you a list of Boxes, Purses, Bundles, &c. containing Specimens Collected prior we left New Zealand. I have shipped these Specimens to New York by the Ship Lansdowne, and consigned them to the Navy Agent at that Place. Great care has been taken in their Collection and Preservation, and among them, there are many rare and valuable. I must therefore request that you will instruct the Navy Agent at New York to receive and retain them with care, until you shall think proper to have them removed.
