also: Marked Exploring Expedition, Zoological Specimens,
and are sealed with the seal of the Expedition.

One Do. 'Sea Water in Bottles, from Different Depths,'

Command. Exploring Expedition.
Note: On page 145. The two Chick & Bores, and Breakers can
not be found, but there are 3 extra Bores on board nor
his 'Zoological' Nos. 9, 10 & 11, which are not on the
list, and are probably this articles shipping.—Some of
the Marks were altered by the Scientific Gentleman after
they had been secured on board at Callao, with the
original list, which list was not altered, and this may
account for the discrepancy.
In addition, we find among the collection One
box of Artificial Curiosities, and One do. of Bustacea—
No.8, on page 145. It is presumed is intended for a
Breaker, and not a Box.
1 Package in Canvas, marked 'Hulls from His Relief.
2 Bar Clarks and Half, from Marquesas Island.
1 Bagger, from Kingmill's group.
I acknowledge to have received on deposit the foregoing
articles, to be held subject to the order of the Board, the
Secretary of the Navy, or the Commander of the Exploring Expedition,
at the risk of the Government.
