"text": "California Boil\nMarch 27 Mr. Wilson Rents, near San Francisco County were abandoned, Calif. 1862 After circling the slope of Mt. Livermore, Ring at that point was found to be level at an unknown elevation, and a term of 30 yards at the north end, with 100 feet at the south end, both sides being level. The surface is very rough, and there are some small hills in the center. After a long time of working, I came to a place where the ground was almost flat. There were two large holes in the ground, one at the north end and one at the south end. They were about 20 feet deep, and the bottom of each was covered with gravel. The soil around them was very loose, and there were some small stones scattered about. I dug down to a depth of 30 feet, but found nothing but loose gravel. I then went to the north hole and dug down to the same depth, but again found only loose gravel. I then went to the south hole and dug down to the same depth, but again found only loose gravel. I then went to the east hole and dug down to the same depth, but again found only loose gravel. I then went to the west hole and dug down to the same depth, but again found only loose gravel. I then went to the center of the field and dug down to a depth of 30 feet, but found nothing but loose gravel.
