On the original portion of the island
3 burrows were dug up open just above the
terminal end of the burrow. The small hole
was covered and will later be used for to
observe the change over periods of incubating
widgestails. Other burrows will also be spied
in the same way. Of the 3 burrows, one
already has an egg, one egg was broken, & the
3rd the bird has yet to begin nesting.
Common Noddy Tern — During landing of
adult 3 pairs were landed & they are
so such: #1[753-26165] #2[753-26172] #3[753-26193]

Also one known age bird (an immature) was
landed. The red color band #128, was
replaced by band number 753-26394.
Christmas Island Shearwater — Saw one adult
feeding its young on the sand alone (by the
limber) at 9:00 P.M.
