** This bird was accidentally banded this
number on 04-24-64 & went unnoticed until
today. The string of bands has been used
only up through -13529, therefore someone
on Mar 24 must have accidentally taken a
band from the latter part of the string &
never noticed it.
Other — 8 Fairy Terns plus one young were
sighted today. Only 3 Golden Plovers were
seen. My estimate for the entire island would
be about 60 Red-tailed Tropicbirds, 25 Golden
Plovers, 25 Buddy Turnstones, & 9 Fairy Terns.
Sand Is. — Common Noddy Tern — Four (4)
young were banded with blue color bands. Blue
color band #136 was placed on the chick just
as it emerged from the egg; the complete hatching
was accomplished at 6:59PM. The data as
