June 29 Johnston Is — Red-Tailed Tropicbird — 20 nests were found on Johnston today, 5 of these had young birds. Six birds were banded & 3 returns were made. All birds with eggs or young were painted with a blue + on their breast. Non-nesting birds were painted with a blue line.
