Forgot to mention - Apr. 6 about
10p.m. - moonlight - near Mores
Raush - long, loud cries of Shrikes
from field oft tall oaks with
branches of mistletoe. A fight,
are owl disturbing them, or a
frak of theirs may have caused cries.
Sept 8 4 p.m. on pear tree on pear ave.
Saw a bird looked like an extra large
river or a small female La, Tan-
garr. Appeared to raise its crest.
Near Kingfisher (mentioned after
lately) nearly every morning & saw
him about Sept9 about dusk. Seems
to roost in evergreens at night.
Sept9. Shot 5 Forest's Turn
(60 shells fired, some birds wounded)
at swimming place. After 1st,
one fell many of them flew about
watching it. Dog got 1st & 2nd stone,
then 3d, then 4th & a long swim after
5th that was wounded. Used corn
meal in skinning, 2 on 9th & 2
on 10th & threw away 5th. all
