Some shot struck John's walk by greenhouse, but didn't hurt them. Shot twice @ flying blackbels & musird. Got 3 young & 1 old jays on the set & no misses. Shot 2 cogs chasing turkeys on F. Y. Road. Shot throwing black & white cat last night. 7/11 Scared up "the phantom" hare again, in orchard by High St. Was quite close. Young Pattison says a hare stays in Cammorniles in lot E of my house. 7/13 Pattison found several nests of Law. Goldf. with young. Finds them & Lazulis, & Green-back Goldf., Doves, Lark Finch, Orioles etc. around Talcotts & Round Naumket House. Found a Yellow Warbler set in my sage hedge this year.
