Shot an old & young jay in orchard by gas house. 6/17 Whirlbr & I looked for Lazulis mentioned above. No luck. Caught 3 small quail from a brood let them go. 6/24 Saw some good sized young quail. Scared up a hare from thick grass back of cow shed in meadows. Could have hit him with a brick. 7/1 Plenty young quail about. Lazuli's now then. Counted 9 pair quail by my house 2 days ago.
