From their small size I should say that they were young birds. One thing that surprised me was the blackness of the naked skin covering their head and neck. At least one Turkey Vulture was in their company. A little further on we were passed by two Bald Eagles in full flight. I am positive I have correctly identified them as both birds had pure white necks and tails.
