conditions:- clear; cold; light wind.
On the south side of the railroad bridge,
Retired up a large flock of ducks. In the plough
I saw the following birds:-
Gulls. (large). Quite a few in flight.
Mergus serrator. One.
Nettion carolinensis. A few.
Blangula (Blangula ?). A few.
Cristatura parva?censia. Common.
2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. (near Damon's Slough.)
conditions:- Moderate temp., rather overcast; no wind
We went up on the flats between Damon's
and Melrose Sloughs, where last night we had
seen many ducks light. The following birds
were seen and some shot:-
Larus (large). A few.
Sternaforsteri ?). A few.
Larus philadelphia. A few.
Aythya valisineria. Very common. Females
decey easier than males.
Aythya [illegible] affinis. One.
