Transcription
a few Creunetes occidentalis. About 8 gulls passed
over high up. I saw 3 Storma forsteri near the
mouth of the slough. I had shot; these had
mottled heads in place of caps.
In the slough north of San Leandro Creek,
I observed the above-named birds, excepting
the gulls. I also saw about 50 to 70 Netton
carolinensis on the mud. They were unap-
proachable. A small flock Symphenia semi
Palmata. On the bay I saw 3 or 4 Columbom migratorius.
I shot one Colymbus auritus.
In my back yard Passer domesticus
was abundant. I saw about a dozen Den-
driva auduboni in the fruit trees. Six As-
tragalinius psaltria were feeding on a cosmos
bush. These birds I shot at noon time

Conditions: - clear; north wind; moderate temperature
Passer domesticus was of course abundant. Along the
mole there were a good many grebes and three or four ducks.
