Streptopelia risoria. (Barbary Turtle Dove.)
The birds nesting in the box on the wood shed, Nos. 22
and 23, have one egg, while the birds in the box on the
post, Nos. 29 and 31, have three eggs.
June 20, 1908
Nos. 22 and 23 finally deserted their egg which was
infertile.
Yesterday I found a youngster in the box on the
post; to-day I found a second. The egg shells
of both were lying on the ground.
July 12, 1908.
All three of the young birds hatched in the box on the
post have been reared successfully by the parents and
no fly about, although they are quite often fed. The
nest now contains at least three eggs; a second fe-
male must be laying in it. The three young are
numbers 82, 83, and 880. They have now been out of the
nest a week. On one the ends of the collar are just show-
ing in two grayish spots.
July 22, 1908.
I sold Nos. 23, 82, 83, and 880 to Robison Bros. for $3.00.
July 25, 1908.

nest seems to be run by Nos. 22 and 30, males, and Nos. 29 and 31, females,
