Summary June 1 - Aug. 1, 1943
Much of the time after June 8 was
spent in Boulder Creek. We went back
and forth sometimes by automobile,
sometimes by Greyhound Bus. If by
automobile we went via Dumbarton
Bridge if possible. On June 2 Mrs. Eric
Reynolds took me with her when she
took photographs of a colony of Caspian
Terns on a dyke north east of the bridge.
Berkeley: June 1-8; 19-23; July 6-10; 17-21.
Swain. A pair near the trees. Male alone
in garden June 7, 19-23, very tame. Not
seen in July. (Coprozene at pool July 16)
June 8. Codornices Parks, three pairs.
Also bee male on guard.
July 18. Women's Faculty Club. Was told
a pair took off a brood about July 1.
On July 18 I saw a pair with no
brood.
July 18. Cowell Hospital. 1 pair (click,
July 10 per with brood on Prospect St.)
Allcott Hummerson: June 8. Many y.q. in Codor. Parks.
Anna 6; or 7 clue.
W. Flycatcher - Did not find nest. July 7 - calls of
y.q. and ad.
Cliff Swallow July 9. Still feeding y.q. at L.S. Bley
Thunouse - no nest in our box - June 3. Pair
and y.q. at Table (Mrs. Hackley).
