Nov. 29. I looked out my window when I got up
and counted five Fox Sparrows. Later
a number of G.C Sparrows came to
bathe.
Dec. #, I brought home from Boulder Creek a very
large Sunflower head which I put
on the bird table about 8 a.m. By noon
almost all the seeds were gone.
Dec. 5. Last trip of "Allegheniummers" - to Drumbarton
Bridge and Mt View marsh. Cloudy with
a little rain.
Drumbarton Bridge: 400+ Eared Grebe,
the albino near the center of
a very large group (200+)
American Egrets & also near Alvarado
Bonsaparte Tulls - 40+
Willet 200+ I bunched
Arreets 300+
Red-backed Sandpipers - a few (Roddy)
Tibits - many but decreased.
Short-eared Owl.
Mt. View Marsh, Tide right.
Black Turnstone 1.
Rb. Plover - many - decreasing .
Lb. Curlew - decreasing 6+
Hudsonian - 8-10.
Godwits 20+ (No Ducks)
Dartellers - very abr. 100-200.
Redb. W-T L. Sandpipers -abt.
St. Yellowlegs 2. Arreets 2, Rails 3.
